Public Health Dentistry
Public Health Dentistry is that part of dentistry providing leadership and expertise in population-based dentistry, oral health surveillance, policy development, community-based disease prevention and health promotion, and the maintenance of the dental safety net. DPH and the private practice model of care delivery together bear the responsibility of assuring optimal oral health for the whole community.
The department of public health dentistry isequipped with 19 dental chairs in undergraduate section and 10 chairs in postgraduate section which are equipped with all necessary attachments for comprehensive dental care of the patients.
College's MDU is equipped with fully functioning 1 dental chair fitted with all necessary attachments to provide preventive and curative services. Our MDU also has health education facility through audiovisual aids.
