Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course at Kothiwal Dental College, Hospital & Research Centre is recognised by the Dental Council of India and Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India vide notification number V-12017/30/97-PMS. BDS is affiliated to Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. Hence, the Rules & Regulations of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow in regard to the syllabi and conduct of examination shall apply.

Eligibility Criteria

BDS Course

The candidate must complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the BDS course.

The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary examination. The student must have obtained 50% marks in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and must have qualifying marks in English. For SC, ST, or OBC, the minimum marks shall be 40%.

Criteria are subjected to change as per the notifications of state/central government or orders from the Supreme/High Court.

Admission Process

BDS Course

The candidates need to pass an entrance exam to secure their place in the course. Admission to the BDS course is completed through a single common entrance test conducted by NEET.

After clearing the entrance exam, students have to participate in the counseling process organized by respective authorities. Seats will be allotted to candidates on the basis of rank, filled choices, and availability of seats.
